Police are appealing for witnesses after two horses were shot in the face by an airgun at Stradishall in Suffolk on October 5. Horse owners in the area have been told to remain vigilant after both animals had to be sedated by a vet in order to remove the pellets.
Police would like to speak to two men seen laughing and carrying a green canvas gun bag in the village around the time of the incident.
The man carrying the bag was described as around 19, with mousey cropped hair, five foot, six inches tall, of a skinny build and wearing jeans and a green jumper with a zip at the neck.
The second man is said to be in his early 20s around five foot, eight inches, with scruffy mousey brown hair and a short beard. He was wearing a white patterned t-shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has knowledge of it should call police on 101.
