A protest is due to take place in the Bedfordshire market town of Ampthill on Friday night, where a number of local people are unhappy at the opening of a lap dancing club.

Feelings are running high over the issue. On Thursday a petition signed by nearly a third of the town was handed over at a council planning meeting.

A young footballer from Bedfordshire has been handed a life sentence after pleading guilty to the murder of his girlfriend.

Andrew Hall, who's 18, will serve at least ten years for killing Megan Peat in June. The 15-year-old was stabbed more than 60 times.
