English Heritage has announced a wartime building in Norfolk, used to train anti-aircraft gunners, is one of its priority sites for rescue and repair.
The Dome Trainer at Langham near Holt has already been given a grant of £200,000 for urgent repairs. It will also get Heritage Lottery funding to see it turned into an educational centre.
Meanwhile a church in Northamptonshire has been added to the National Heritage 'At Risk' register. St Peters Church in Raunds was built more than 800 years ago. Dry weather conditions have been blamed for causing subsidence in its clay foundations.
A number of other sites in the region have also been added to the register, including two in Hertfordshire, three in Suffolk and five in Norfolk.
