Former boxing champ accused of trying to supply drugs

Former boxing world champion Herbie Hide has been summonsed to court to answer a drugs charge.

It follows a sting operation by The Sun, during which Hide, from Bawburgh near Norwich, allegedly told undercover reporters he would fix a boxing match for one million pounds.

The paper also claimed he put them in touch with a drug dealer who offered them cocaine. A second man's been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
