Cyclist dies following collision with van in Norfolk

A cyclist has died after being involved in a collision with a van in Bawsey, near King’s Lynn, this morning.

Officers were called to Gayton Road at 6.31am. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed until 11.40am while emergency services attended.

Norfolk Police are keen to hear from any witnesses.

Emergency services are at the scene of what they describe as a "serious" road crash in Bawsey, near King's Lynn, in Norfolk.

Officers were called to Gayton Road at 6.31am to reports of a collision between a van and a cyclist.

The road has been closed. Motorists have been asked to find alternative routes.

Fatal collision near Bawsey

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision which occurred on the B1145 at Leziate, near Bawsey shortly before 11.30am on Wednesday 23 January.

A 56 year old woman from the Swaffham area died at the scene after her car was in collision with a pickup truck, 400 metres Kings Lynn side of the junction with Brow of the Hill. The occupants of the pickup truck, also from the Swaffham area suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A male in his late 60s, sustained minor chest injuries, while a female sustained minor ankle injuries.
