Supermarkets criticised for buying former pubs
Supermarkets are being criticised for buying pubs and turning them into convenience stores.
The Campaign for Real Ale says that on average two pubs a week were converted to supermarkets during the past year.
CAMRA is calling on the government to change the planning laws.
The supermarkets say they're only buying buildings which aren't commercially viable as pubs and whose owners are prepared to sell them.
