A mother from Essex whose teenage daughter was killed by a driver with poor eyesight, is backing a campaign for drivers to get their sight tested every two years.
Cassie McCord was hit when a car mounted the pavement she was walking along in Colchester in February 2011.
The 87-year-old driver had been stopped by police three days before - he was unable to read a number plate from twenty metres away. Her mother, Jackie McCord, will help road safety charity Brake launch its new campaign.
