Organisers of the V Festival in Essex have confirmed the event will go ahead - despite safety concerns following Monday's terror attack at a music concert in Manchester.
Festival Republic, which runs the Hylands Park spectacular, said it would be consulting with police but insisted cancellation was not an option.
"We are certain we will not be defeated by such cowardice and are therefore confirming that Virgin V Festival will be going ahead as planned."
Tens of thousands of people are expected to descend on Chelmsford in August this year for the annual festival, which also takes place at a second site in Staffordshire.

The family of a young singer from Essex who died after being struck by a train, have paid tribute to a 'sensitive, thoughtful and caring person' who was a 'much-loved son, brother, family member and cherished friend.'
23 year old Patrick Aspbury died at Chelmsford railway station on the 12th April.
He was one third of 'The Choirboys', the country's first choir boyband, which hit the headlines in 2005 after a nationwide search for choral singers.
Their album became the fastest selling classical recording in history.
Patrick started his singing career as a chorister at Chelmsford Cathedral before moving to Ely Cathedral at the age of ten.
"It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the loss of much-loved son, brother, family member and cherished friend Patrick. In addition to his singing, Patrick was also a talented and promising composer, keen footballer and Spurs fan, and above all a sensitive, thoughtful, and caring person. He will be sorely missed."
Chase and Status, Annie Mac and MistaJam have been announced as the latest acts due to perform at the V Festival in Essex this summer.
The festival held in Hylands Park in Chelmsford in Essex and Staffordshire will take place on the weekend of the August 19th and 20th.
The Summer of Dance stage will return to the festival, opening the musical proceedings on the Friday night.
Annie Mac will headline the stage, joined by Wilkinson, Netsky, Riton featuring Kah-lo and Icarus.
Jay-Z, Pink, Ellie Goulding, Stormzy and Craig David are among the acts already announced to perform.
A teenager has been stabbed to death in Chelmsford.
Police were called to an address in East Hanningfield Road in Rettendon Common just before midnight on Saturday 11 March, following reports of a disturbance.
Police and ambulance staff found a 19-year-old man had suffered stab wounds. He later died at the scene.
Five men, aged between 21 and 42 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody.
Police would like to offer reassurance that violent crime of this nature in Chelmsford is rare and there is no current risk to the public.
Officers are conducting a search of the area and an investigation is ongoing.

The family of an Essex man who took his own life in prison say they'll keep fighting to stop others suffering in the same way.
Dean Saunders from Basildon was found dead in his cell at Chelmsford prison in January 2016. He was been suffering from mental health problems.
His family has now met the Justice Secretary and Norfolk MP Liz Truss after an inquest last month found serious failings with his care at the prison.
