An Essex drug dealer stopped by police with nearly £2,000 in his car has been jailed for four years.

Troy Daniel-Kennard, 24, from London, was stopped by officers on Alton Road, Clacton on November 10 last year after he was spotted acting suspiciously and was recognised as having an association with a known drug dealer.

They found a plastic bag containing £1,968 in cash alongside three mobile phones.

He admitted two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and money laundering and was jailed at Chelmsford Crown Court.

We know who the drug dealers are, we know what cars they drive and we know where they operate. If they think they can come to our communities then, just like Daniel-Kennard, we will arrest them, charge them and put them before the courts.
