A ten year old boy has been flown to hospital with life changing injuries after a collision in Braintree

A ten year old boy has been flown to hospital with life changing injuries after a collision in Braintree this afternoon.

It happened at four o'clock in Coldnailhurst Road when a car and children's scooter collided.

Officers are still at the scene currently at the scene and a road closure has been put in place between Queens Road and Boleyns Avenue.

Police are appealing for witnesses

Three car collision in Bungay

Police are dealing with a serious collision between three cars in Bungay.

Police were called to the incident in Beccles Road at around 1.15pm today. The incident involved a white Vauxhall Corsa, a silver Ford Fusion and a blue Volvo V40.

Police and paramedics are on scene. The road is currently closed and diversions are in place at the junctions with Kents Lane and Wingfield Street.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.

Four hospitalised after Essex collision

Four people have been taken to hospital after a collision in Little Warley, Essex.

Paramedics and the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance were called to incident in Childerditch Lane, Great Warley this morning.

Two vans were in collision with a bicycle.

Two patients were taken to Basildon Hospital, they received injuries to their back, chest and neck.

Two patients were taken to Queens Hospital, one received an ankle injury and the other a pelvic injury.

Air Ambulance called to Essex collision

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a collision in Essex.

Paramedics and the Essex Air Ambulance were called to incident in Childerditch Lane, Great Warley this morning.

Essex Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "We are currently treating four casualties, some of which are reported trapped in vehicles."

Teenager dies following A14 collision

A teenage boy has died following a collision between a Fiat Punto and two lorries on the A14.

The accident took place yesterday afternoon on the eastbound carriageway close to the Trimley St Mary slip road.

The driver of the Punto, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A teenage passenger was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, but Suffolk Police today revealed that he had died.

A second passenger, a man in his sixties, suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A 50-year-old man from Dovercourt was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released on police bail and is due to return on Tuesday 16 October.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
