Driver killed as BMW hits tree in Norfolk

A driver was killed after losing control of his BMW and crashing into a tree in Norfolk.

It happened shortly before midnight on Sunday, September 10, as the car was travelling along the A143 at Gillingham in the direction of Great Yarmouth.

The driver of the white car, a man in his 20s, lost control and collided with a tree. He died as a result of the crash.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

A young driver is fighting for his life after a car crash in Essex.

The 21-year-old, who was driving a blue Ford Fiesta, has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge in a life-threatening condition.

The crash happened just before 10.45pm Friday, August 11, at Clapton Hall Lane near Great Dunmow.

Police said no other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.

A 43-year-old man killed in a crash on the A140 has been named.

Colin Fisk, from Kesgrave died in the collision between two lorries and his Renault Megane on the A140 at Mendlesham, Suffolk, on Tuesday, July 26.

His seven-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in the car, was airlifted to hospital with a suspected broken collar bone.

Both lorries drivers suffered minor injuries.

A 50-year-old man remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Serious crash closes A140 in Suffolk

Suffolk Police are at the scene of a serious crash in Mendlesham, near Stowmarket.

Officers were called just before 11:20am today (Tuesday July 25) to reports of a collision between two lorries and a car on the A140, near Brockford.

The road is closed with northbound traffic being diverted via the A1120 at Earl Stonham, and southbound traffic sent via Town Lane towards Mickfield.

A11 in Norfolk to stay closed for next few hours

The A11 near Thetford in Norfolk is likely to remain closed well into this afternoon after a car transporter crashed spilling a number of cars on to the road.

Warning to 'avoid A14' after lorry crash in Cambridgeshire

Drivers have been warned to avoid the A14 at Girton in Cambridgeshire after a crash between two lorries.

It happened just before 7.30am today at junction 31 of the westbound carriageway.

One lane has been closed and officers are urging drivers to avoid the area until further notice or expect long delays.

The M11 slip road has also been closed and diversions put in place via the A14 and A428 while attempts are made to move the HGVs.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries.


Cambs road closed after car collides with electricity pole

Part of the A142 in Cambridgeshire is expected to be closed for the rest of the day after a car collided with a electricity pole near Mepal this morning.

Power lines are across the road and engineers are at the scene carrying out repairs.

A second crash at Witchford also on the A142 is also causing delays.

30 schoolchildren involved in bus crash

Thirty schoolchildren were among those involved in a collision between a car and a bus near Huntingdon.

Fire crews from Huntingdon and Ramsey attended the accident near the village of Bury.

None of the children were hurt but one man was taken to hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.
