Digger used in Lincolnshire cash machine raid

Thieves have stolen a cash machine from the wall of a shop in Crowland in Lincolnshire. A yellow digger believed to have been stolen from a nearby farm was used to take the ATM from the Spar shop in north Street in the early hours of this morning.

The digger was abandoned at the scene and the ATM taken away on the back of a silver pick-up style vehicle. Another car, possibly blue, was also involved and left the scene at the same time. Considerable damage was caused to the front of the shop. Police are appealing for witnesses.
