A police dog who was stabbed in the head and chest while on duty has made his first arrest since returning to work.

PD Finn and his handler PC Dave Wardell were both injured while chasing a suspect in Stevenage in October.

Fin returned work yesterday, after spending 10 weeks recovering.

Last night the pair arrested a man in Elstree - who allegedly failed to stop for officers in his car and was then involved in a crash with a parked vehicle.

A 30-year-old man from Borehamwood remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving other than in accordance with a driving licence.
