Arrests made after Italian football fans attacked

Bedfordshire police say a number of arrests have been made after Italian football fans were attacked in Bedford last night, after their team knocked England out of Euro 2012 on penalties.

Bedford has one of the largest concentrations of Italians in the UK - and many were out to see their team reach the semi-finals. Police say several cars were attacked.

Euro 2012 blow for factory workers

Staff at the Vauxhall plant in Luton, Bedfordshire have been told they cannot watch the England Euro 2012 matches on the factory floor - despite the fact the company is the team's main sponsor.

The car manufacturer has their logo on the England team shirts - but says big screens would break health and safety regulations. But workers say they are working around the ban.
