Investigations are continuing into a fire which destroyed an historic row of buildings in Norfolk in one of the biggest blazes seen in the county for years.

Ninety firefighters tackled the blaze in Fakenham. Roads were closed as crews tried to douse the flames.

Eighty people had to leave a nearby church when the alarm was raised just as Sunday service was about to begin.

Ten fire crews are fighting a large fire in a shop in the centre of Fakenham. The fire in the Factory Shop in the market place is being treated as a major incident. Fifty fire fighters are at the scene, together with an aerial ladder, control unit and search and rescue teams.

The alarm was raised at around 10.30am and Norfolk Fire Service are urging people to stay clear of the area while they try to bring the flames under control.
