A Roman Catholic priest from Norfolk arrested on suspicion of sexual offences has stood down from the Ministry while investigations are carried out. 66-year-old Father Tony McSweeney - who's on bail - has also resigned as director of one of the biggest schools in Norwich.
He's being investigated by detectives who're following up allegations of child abuse at a London guest house . Malcolm Robertson reports
A Catholic Priest arrested in connection with alleged child abuse, has resigned as Director of the Notre Dame High School in Norwich.
Father Tony McSweeney who is 66, of St George's Catholic Church, has been linked to the abuse alleged to have taken place at the Elm Guest House in Barnes in London in the early 1980s. The Diocese of East Anglia say he's helping police with their inquiries.
