A young driver is fighting for his life after a car crash in Essex.
The 21-year-old, who was driving a blue Ford Fiesta, has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge in a life-threatening condition.
The crash happened just before 10.45pm Friday, August 11, at Clapton Hall Lane near Great Dunmow.
Police said no other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.
An £8 million road near Stansted Airport which will allow traffic to bypass Great Dunmow town centre, will open today.
The Dunmow Bypass links the B184 from Saffron Walden, to the B1256 to the west of Great Dunmow. The road will be open to the public from 1.30pm.
