Cyclist seriously injured in Essex 'hit and run'
A cyclist has been left with serious head injuries following a suspected hit and run in Essex.
The victim was struck by a white car, thought to be a Volkswagen Scirrocco, at Magdalen Laver, near Harlow, on Sunday.
The man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital.
Police have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a crash, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and assault. He has been released under investigation.
Officers want to speak to the driver of a black or dark-coloured car - possibly a Mini - which was immediately behind the white car at the time of the crash at 12.40pm.

A three year old boy Kylan Spires has been left with serious head injuries after a hit and run incident involving a moped as he played in his front garden.

He had been playing on grass in Derwent Drive, Kings Heath, at about 4.25pm yesterday (Monday, June 12).

Cyclist injured in hit and run
A cyclist has been injured in a hit and run crash in Bedfordshire.
The incident happened on a roundabout at Dunton near Biggleswade. The cyclist was left with a broken collar bone and facial injuries.
Police are looking for a light coloured car or people carrier and are appealing for witnesses.
