Water firms lift hosepipe ban
Veolia Water Central - which covers Herts, Essex, Beds and Bucks - has announced it is lifting its hosepipe ban with immediate effect.

Hosepipe ban comes into force
A hosepipe ban comes into force from midnight today (April 5) for many parts of the region, as a result of months of dry weather.
Nearly two million homes will be affected and anyone caught flouting the ban will face a fine of up to £1,000.
