Concern for missing Bedfordshire woman

There is concern for a 22-year-old woman who has been missing from Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, since last week.

Susanne Kinnear – known as Suzzie – was last seen by friends in Hammersmith Gardens at around midnight on Wednesday 4th June.

Suzzie, who has links to Northamptonshire where her father lives, is white, 5ft 5ins tall, with short blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a navy blue Nike waterproof jacket, red polo shirt, blue tracksuit bottoms with mud on the side of the leg and orange striped trainers.

Bedfordshire Police say they would like to stress that Suzzie is not in any trouble but would encourage her to get in contact so they know that she is safe and well.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bedfordshire Police on 101.


CCTV of suspect released after woman 'indecently touched'.

Bedfordshire Police has released a CCTV image of a man suspected of indecently touching a woman.

The victim was shopping in Bedford Square, Houghton Regis when she was followed by the man who indecently touched her.

The suspect is described as white, about 18 years old, slim build, 5ft 8ins tall with brown hair. He was wearing a distinctive light blue hoody.

Witnesses are being asked to contact PC Sam Shane at Luton CID on 01582 394064, or call the 24 hour non-emergency number 101.

Owner rescued from street attack by her dog

A dog owner from Bedfordshire is praising her brave pet after he came to her rescue when she was attacked in the street.

Buddy, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was being walked by Diane Henderson from Houghton Regis when she was attacked by a man demanding money.

Hearing her scream Buddy came to the rescue and the robber got more than he bargained for.

Man arrested in connection with assault

Police have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with an indecent assault in Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire.

A man forced his way into a property in the Drury Lane area of the town early on Friday morning (18 March), and attacked the 80-year-old woman who lives there.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Constable Colin Knight, says he is still keen to speak to anyone with information on the incident who has not yet contacted police.

DC Knight said: “Although a man has been arrested in connection with this incident I would remind members of the public that this is still an ongoing investigation and I would urge anyone who believes that they have the slightest piece of information relating to this inquiry to contact the police.”

Appeal after 80-yr-old woman assaulted

Police in Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire are asking the public to help find a man who assaulted an 80-year-old woman during the early hours of this morning, March the 18th.

At about 1.15am the victim heard a knock at the door of her home in the Drury Lane area of the town. She asked who was there, and a man asked if she was alright. The woman opened the door, and the man barged in then indecently assaulted her.

The man is described white, in his mid-20s, with a slim build and local accent. He was wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
