Villagers in parts of Cambridgeshire are claiming victory over their council after a high court ruling stalled the building of 500 homes.
Olympic hopefuls for London 2012 are competing at Houghton Hall in Norfolk this weekend.
Some of the world's best riders will be arriving in Norfolk today (May 24) for the start of the Houghton International Horse Trials.
More than 700 horses are expected to compete this weekend as the three day eventing season moves to North Norfolk.
The Houghton Hall International attracts the world's top riders with the sport still basking in the glow of last summer's Olympics.
The Houghton International is now in its seventh year. Big names due to ride this weekend include Team GB's Zara Phillips and William Fox-Pitt and the recently knighted Sir Mark Todd from New Zealand.
