A 12 -year-old girl escaped assault in Linslade, Bedfordshire after she bit her attacker, Police said today.
The girl was approached by a man yesterday afternoon at the junction of Mentmore Road and Wing Road.
Police said the man tried to put his hand around the girl’s mouth and pull her away from the path but she bravely bit the man, ran away and raised the alarm.
The man is described as being white, around 35 to 45 years old, skinny, with a Somerset accent and wearing dark clothing, possibly a ‘Superdry’ coat with the hood up.
Members of the Local Policing Team have contacted schools in the area to warn them of this incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a street robbery in Linslade, Bedfordshire on Thursday 13 September. A 40-year-old man was attacked and robbed of his wallet and mobile phone in Mentmore Road. He was punched and kicked by three men and left unconscious on the street at just after midnight.
The victim was assisted by a member of the public who took him to a nearby petrol station and the emergency services were called. He was then taken to hospital for treatment to cuts and bruising to his face.
The three men are all described as being white, in their mid to late 20s and wearing hooded tops. Police are appealing for information on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Four people have been arrested and sound equipment seized after an illegal rave in Bedfordshire.
More than 350 people gathered on farmland off Wing Road in Linslade, Leighton Buzzard on Saturday night.
Two men and a 19 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
The woman was also arrested for possession of Class B drugs.
A 17 year old was also arrested for drugs offences. Bedfordshire Police also successfully prevented a rave from going ahead in the Sandy area on the same night.
