It's been a summer of huge demand for many airlines and airports as record numbers fly abroad and around the UK.
The country's two busiest hubs - Heathrow and Gatwick - are running at full capacity which is leading to increased disruption and frustration for passengers.
Until a new runway is built somewhere in the South East - Southend Airport believes it could be the answer to the capital's congestion problems. It's launched a plan to attract passengers who have been delayed at Heathrow and Gatwick.
