Former BBC presenter to be sentenced

A former BBC Radio Norfolk presenter is due to be sentenced today after being found guilty of a series of sexual offences against boys aged between 11 and 16.

Michael Souter, who's 60, has also been found guilty of making and possessing indecent images of children.

Prosecutors at Norwich Crown Court described him as a sexual deviant who was obsessed with young boys. He denied the charges and claimed he was the victim of a conspiracy.

The jury in the case of a former Radio Norfolk presenter accused of 19 counts of historic child sex abuse is due to retire today to consider its verdict.

Michael Souter, from Loddon, denies the charges which relate to boys aged between 11 and 16.

He also denies nine counts of making and possessing indecent images.

The case is being heard at Norwich Crown Court.
