Detectives in Hertfordshire are appealing to members of the public in Nottingham who may have witnessed an alleged kidnapping on Friday 16th November.
It is suspected that a woman in her 20s and of Asian appearance was forced into a car by a man close to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
The vehicle, a blue BMW with the registration plate EO03 VYC, was then driven to Nottingham, where it is claimed that the woman called for help from passers-by. However the offender has told them that everything was ok and they left.
The incident ended in Hertfordshire again at around midnight. The victim was uninjured.
A 27-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and released on bail while investigations continue.
