6-year-old fitted with pacemaker
A six-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire who was fitted with a pacemaker because his heart wasn't beating fast enough is now fit and active again.
Lewis Thomas from Fulbourn was born with a heart murmur.
Doctors thought he would grow out of the condition - but he collapsed suddenly at home last November.
Lewis fitted with a pacemaker by doctors at St Thomas's Hospital in London, after being diagnosed with a 'second-degree atrioventricular block' - a disease which affects the electrical conduction system of the heart..
