Ipswich Town have made another move in the January Transfer window, with the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers' 25-year-old Richard Stearman on loan for the rest of the season.

The centre-back worked with Blues boss Mick McCarthy while they were both at Molineux.

Defender, Patrick Kisnorbo has extended his loan stay at Portman Road until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old defender joined the Blues from Leeds in a month-long loan in January, but all parties have agreed that the Australian international will now see out the campaign in a Town shirt.

Two new players for Ipswich Town

David McGoldrick and Aaron Mclean are joining Ipswich Town.

McGoldrick has joined on loan from Hull for the rest of the season while Mclean will also remain at Portman Road until May with a view to making the move from Nottingham Forest permanent in the summer.

“David dropped down a level to play for Coventry on loan over the first half of the season and did really well.

He was the leading scorer in League One with 16 goals so we are signing a player at the top of his form.

He’s a good player who we have been watching and it’s deal that we are looking to lead to a permanent one.

Aaron is also a good addition to the squad. I tried to sign him for Wolves a long time ago so I know about his qualities.

He will bring pace, power and athleticism to the side and I’m delighted that we have managed to get both of them.”

The paperwork for both deals was filed right on the noon deadline for tomorrow’s FA Cup trip to Aston Villa after a frantic race against the clock. The Club are waiting to see if clearance has been granted.
