A backpacker from Suffolk was seriously injured when he was mugged while travelling across Peru in South America.
Shaun Mallet, 41, from Stanton near Bury St Edmunds, was left for dead by the attackers. He suffered a punctured lung and a partially severed windpipe and had to undergo emergency surgery.
Although he is now recovering, he hasn't got enough money to pay his medical bills as he didn't have travel insurance.
His parents, Terry and Margaret, have already paid out $3000 but say there will be more bills to come before Shaun can come home.
