Essex 'worst for roadworks'
A Freedom of Information request has revealed that there are more roadworks in Essex than anywhere else in the country, with 6,000 currently underway.

Essex has the most on-going roadworks
A new survey has revealed that Essex boasts the highest number of ongoing road work projects in the country. The survey by car breakdown firm Britannia Rescue, shows the county has six thousand separate road work schemes.
Hills Road in Cambridge also featured in the report. The road has had 280 road work schemes over the last five years.
