The M1 motorway will be closed for two nights as Highways England urgently investigate what they describe as a potential concern.
Routine maintenance highlighted the issues with the gantries over the motorway and the work has been planned at short notice as a safety precaution.
The section affected stretches from junction 13 at Milton Keynes to junction 11 at Luton. The work will take place between 10 pm and 5 am with the southbound route affected on October 12 and the northbound route on October 13. Diversions will be in place during the closures.
During the work older, out-of-use speed cameras will be inspected and removed from overhead gantries.
The A11 will be shut to northbound traffic approaching the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills in Suffolk from ten o'clock tonight until 6 o'clock Monday morning.
It's the second weekend of closures while work to re-structure the roundabout takes place, as part of the dualling of the A11 up to Thetford.
Diversions via Red Lodge and Bury St Edmunds will be in place
