He was sectioned under the Mental Health Act today and can't be considered for release until the Secretary of State decides he's no longer a risk to the public.

This is a tragic case where a woman lost her life and families have been torn apart.

Nothing will bring Samantha back but I hope today’s sentencing, and the conclusion of legal proceedings, will provide some comfort for Samantha’s family.

Our deepest sympathies are with them and her friends at this difficult time.

It happened at Nat West on the High Street in St Neots just before 5 o'clock yesterday evening (December 30).

The four men made staff open the safe and left with around £300, driving off in a silver car.

Police say no one was injured.

“Thankfully no one was injured during this incident but the staff working at the time have been left understandably shaken.

We would like to appeal to anyone who may have seen these men before or after the incident, or the silver Saab they were driving, to come forward.”
