Police in Cambridgeshire are searching for a man who was reportedly seen holding a gun near a primary school in St Neots this morning.

Officers were told that a man had been spotted carrying a suspected firearm in Marchioness Way, which is close to the Bushmead Primary School.

They've now found a gun, believed to be an air rifle.

However, they still haven't found the man they'd like to talk to in connection with the incident.

He's described as white, slim, in his 20s, with sandy-coloured hair, wearing a black hooded top with grey patches.

Officers have pointed out that the public aren't thought to be in any immediate danger.

British Transport Police officers are asking the public to help identify a man following a case of indecent exposure. It happened onboard the 10.10pm service from Kings Cross to Peterborough on Wednesday, 25 June.

PC Claire Prouse said: “During the journey, a 21-year-old woman became aware of a man staring at her.

“As the train passed through St Neots, he exposed himself and began touching himself inappropriately before leaving the train at Huntingdon.

“The victim was frightened and upset by this behaviour and rightly reported it to rail staff.”
