Murder detectives investigating a murder and attempted murder in Peterborough will be distributing posters today as part of work to trace a man in connection with the incident.

Police continue to appeal for the public's help in tracing 21-year-old Andrejus Ruljevas.Andrejus has links to Peterborough, Boston in Lincolnshire and the Brent area of London.

Officers will be distributing posters to assist in tracing Andrejus.


Cops keen to trace man over double stabbing

Detectives investigating a double stabbing in Peterborough are appealing for the public's help to trace a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

One man died and a second man was seriously injured following the double stabbing in the city.

Officers are keen to speak to Andrejus Ruljevas in connection with the stabbings that happened yesterday morning (Wednesday, October 17).

Andrejus, 21, has links to Peterborough, Boston in Lincolnshire and the Brent area of London.

Members of the public are urged not to approach him but to report any sightings to police.

Man fights for life after stabbing

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Colchester on Monday night.

The attack happened at just before half past nine in Tynedale Square in the Highwoods area of the town.

The 38-year-old victim who's from Colchester suffered multiple stab wounds.

Three men and one woman all from the Colchester area have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Man stabbed in Norwich

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed at an address in Dereham Road, Norwich at about 6pm last night.

A 42-year-old man received a single stab wound to the stomach and is currently in a critical but stable condition in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A 51-year-old man and a 41-year-old man, both local, were arrested in connection with the incident and are in Wymondham Police Investigation Centre awaiting questioning.


Police: Murdered man had been stabbed

A 24-year-old man who died after he was found seriously injured at a house in Hertfordshire had been stabbed, police said.

Darren Leonard was discovered at 11.30pm on Wednesday after police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in the Northfield area of Hatfield.

Ambulance crews were also called to the property and Mr Leonard was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage, but died shortly afterwards.

A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Police said a post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday afternoon revealed he died as a result of stab wounds.

We are determined to catch the people who killed Darren and will leave no stone unturned in order to find them.

We are keen to speak to anyone who has information about this incident. If you saw anything unusual on Wednesday evening through into the early hours of Thursday morning in that area, please get in touch with the Operation Bulrush team by calling 101."

The force spokeswoman said a significant murder inquiry is under way. Police have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries in the Northfield area and monitoring CCTV footage from local cameras, among other lines of investigation.
