Plans have been submitted by Essex jam maker Wilkin and Sons for a brand new factory and more than 200 new homes.
The Tiptree-based manufacturer wants to eventually create a new 13,000 square foot factory complex in the village.
The company says it will help them increase capacity and allow them to stay in the village until at least 2030. The plans also include building 244 new homes, allotments, and the Factory Hall to be handed to Tiptree Parish Council.
Essex snooker player Ali Carter's bid to become World Champion has once again been ended by Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final in Sheffield.
