Fire Fighters, Police and the Ambulance Service all attended a road traffic accident in Essex yesterday, which involved three children.
A woman in her sixties was air lifted by East Anglian Air Ambulance Service to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious pelvic injuries.
In a statement Essex Police said: "Police officers were called to Colchester Road, Tiptree, after a silver Hyundai estate car came off the road and was in collision with a tree."
"This happened just after 11.30am yesterday (Saturday November 16). The occupants of the car, believed to be two adults and three children, were taken to Addenbrooke’s hospital for treatment. The road was closed for just over two hours whilst the vehicle was recovered."
Now in its seventh year, the Tiptree Strawberry race is as popular as ever. Normally held in mid-June, it's late this year because of the cold spring.
The aim is to pick as many strawberries as possible in 60 minutes and raise some money for the Essex Air Ambulance.
Due to the chilly conditions, for the first time the race is being held on the 4th July, American Independence day. The winner of the best fancy dress was Joyce Thomas from Diss in Norfolk who dressed as the Statue of Liberty.
Plans have been submitted by Essex jam maker Wilkin and Sons for a brand new factory and more than 200 new homes.
The Tiptree-based manufacturer wants to eventually create a new 13,000 square foot factory complex in the village.
The company says it will help them increase capacity and allow them to stay in the village until at least 2030. The plans also include building 244 new homes, allotments, and the Factory Hall to be handed to Tiptree Parish Council.
