A burglar who broke into murdered pensioner Una Crown's home in Wisbech has been jailed. Dainius Stelmokas, 29, of De Havilland Road, Wisbech, forced his way into the 86-year-old's bungalow in Magazine Lane on April 4. Once inside he stole a television, stereo and portable DVD player.
A neighbour called police after spotting a plywood sheet which had been used to board up the back door of the property had been removed. Crime scene investigators discovered a fingerprint and Stelmokas was arrested on April 6.
He pleaded guilty to burglary and was jailed for 10 months at Cambridge Crown Court . All of the stolen property has been recovered. Mrs Crown's body was discovered in the bungalow on January 13.
She had been stabbed and then set on fire in an apparent effort to disguise her injuries and destroy evidence. A 58-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains on bail until July 2.

Police are investigating a sudden death in Wisbech in Cambridgeshire.
Ambulance crews called police to a property in the North Brink area of the town at around 11:45am yesterday.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Police added it is not being linked to the investigation into the murder of 86-year-old Una Crown.
