Hundreds of mourners today paid their last respects to a former Essex clergyman found stabbed to death in the hallway of his home in Gloucestershire.
The Reverend John Suddards, 59, was discovered in his vicarage on St Valentine's Day.
Rev Suddards was given a last goodbye in the church at Thorney where he was installed as priest only eight-and-a-half months ago. He had previously been a priest at Witham in Essex.
The Bishop of Colchester was among today's mourners.
A 47 -year-old man has been charged with his murder.
