Kettering Town FC fends off taxman

Kettering Town Football Club has prevented a bid by revenue officials to close it down because of unpaid tax bills. A High Court case was dismissed after the club paid its tax debts.

Catherine Addy, counsel for HMRC, told the Registrar that the club's debt and costs had been "paid in full".

Supporters have been fundraising since the winding up order was announced.
