National Trust announces free weekend
National Trust venues across the region are opening their doors for free as part of its campaign, 50 things to do before you're 11¾ which aims to encourage children to enjoy outdoor pursuits.
The Trust has published a list of 50 things to do before you're 12, including building a den, skimming a stone, making a mud pie and flying a kite.
Venues across the region will have free entry on April 21 and April 22.
