Rail strike over pension dispute

Rail services for East Midlands Trains will be affected today because of the first of a series of strikes in a dispute over pensions.

Members of the drivers' union Aslef at East Midlands Trains will walk out for 24 hours.

Further strikes are planned for Thursday May 3 and again on May 8, 10, 15 and 17.

A reduced service will be operating today and on Thursday and there will be replacement bus services in operation on many routes.
