Unemployment in the East of England has fallen by 6,000 to 207,000. It means 6.7% of the workforce in the region is out of work, one of the lowest unemployment rates of any region of the UK.
The figures refer to the January to March 2012 period and there are still 4,000 more people out of work compared to the figures released last month which covered the December 2011 to February 2012 period.
Nationally unemployment fell 45,000 to 2.63 million people.
