Fresh talks between the Fire Brigades' Union and Essex Fire Service managers to try and sort out a row over planned cuts to the service ended this evening without a breakthrough.
It follows strike action last Friday where about 300 firefighters walked out. Today's meeting was organised by ACAS - who work to sort out employment disputes.
The FBU is now awaiting suggestions from ACAS about any possible way forward in resolving their 3-year dispute with Essex fire authority.
