The official police watchdog has ruled that there is no need for an external investigation into the death of gunman Peter Reeve.
The death of Mr Reeve, whose body was found in Writtle this morning, was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
But the IPCC has ruled that as no police officers were present at the time Mr Reeve died, and there had been no police contact with him since Monday's shooting in Clacton, there was no need for an external inquiry.
