U's sign Morrison on two-year-deal
Colchester United have captured the signature of veteran striker Clinton Morrison.
The much travelled hitman has joined the U's on a ree transfer, signing a two-year-deal.
The former Crystal palace forward told the club website that manager John Ward was key to him joining the Essex side.
He told the site: "I am a player who likes to be loved, and with a manager here who has been chasing me for about a year-and-a-half I think I will be loved.
"I think we'll play football to my strengths and hopefully, I'll reward him, and the fans who I hope to get onside straight away, by scoring goals."
Morrison's signing follows news that defender Magnus Okuonghae has re-signed with the Weston Homes Community Stadium club. The stopper has now committed himself to the club for another three years.
