Road deaths in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough continue to fall

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough road casualties continue to fall - bucking the national trend.National data shows a 3% rise in the number of road deaths in 2011, while in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough the number of deaths fell by 7 in 2011 compared to 2010 – a 17.5% reduction.

The numbers are small and therefore fluctuate annually, however Cambridgeshire and Peterborough has an underlying downward trend of about 3% per year in killed and seriously injured (KSI) casualties per kilometre travelled.
