The Sainsbury Laboratory for Plant Science based at the University of Cambridge's Botanic Gardens has been shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA Stirling prize.

The architects - Stanton Williams - were praised for creating a modern building which complemented its surroundings, a Grade II listed 19th century garden.
