Lab shortlisted for top architecture prize
A university building has been shortlisted for a major architecture prize.
The Sainsbury Laboratory for Plant Science based at the University of Cambridge's Botanic Gardens has been shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA Stirling prize.
The architects - Stanton Williams - were praised for creating a modern building which complemented its surroundings, a Grade II listed 19th century garden.
The winner of the prize will be announced in October at a special ceremony in Manchester.
