Community mentors will be recruited to help older people retain their independence for longer.
The Volunteer Mentor Programme from Age UK Norfolk has won £49,853 from Norfolk County Council's Living Well In The Community Fund.
The programme will see Age UK Norfolk working with communities to find different ways to support older people who live in west Norfolk.
The hope is the mentors will make it possible for older people to maintain their independence for longer and improve their quality of life.
