Police appeal for witnesses to robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following a street robbery which took place in Luton.

The incident happened at around 1.30am on July 30th as a 29-year-old male victim was talking on his mobile phone while walking along Dumfries Street when he was attacked.

The victim punched in the back of the head.

As the victim turned around he was struck again in the face and he fell to the floor. The offender grabbed his mobile phone and took his wallet from his pocket before fleeing.

The victim suffered a broken tooth and a broken nose which needed surgery.
