The girlfriend of Pc Ian Dibell delivered a moving eulogy at his memorial service.
Louise Lilley, a police community support officer,told the congregation that she should have been flying to Majorca this morning with Pc Dibell on a holiday to mark the start of a new beginning.
Miss Lilley told those attending the memorial service in St James Church in Clacton-on-Sea, that all he wanted to do was put on his uniform on and right the wrongs.
