Police target nuisance drivers

Nuisance drivers are being targeted in a police crackdown against anti-social gatherings in a Cambridgeshire village.

Groups of motorists have been gathering at business parks, in car parks and driving in convoys around Papworth.

Cambridgeshire Police have been running a series of operations with officers from the roads policing unit and local officers to try to stop these anti-social gatherings.

Police say the meetings are lawful but officers have the power to seize vehicles if they are used anti-socially.

Anyone who is concerned about anti-social drivers in their area is asked to call police on 101, giving details about the vehicle such as registration numbers, make and colour of vehicle and description of the driver.
