It has emerged that a container ship carrying dangerous and toxic chemicals which has been on fire for seven weeks in the middle of the Atlantic had been on its way to Felixstowe.

The MSC Flaminia left America with nearly 3,000 containers, 150 them containing hazardous materials.

A fire which broke out on 14 July killed two crewmen.
