Police forces must 'share more' to avoid frontline cuts

The Deputy Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Suzette Davenport has told Anglia News that police forces across the region will have to share more resources if they are to avoid cuts to frontline services.

Speaking at an open day today (Saturday 8th September) she said that in the face of Government cuts the force will merge its HR and Payroll departments with other counties. The arrangement will begin next month as part of plans to save 20% of the force's budget.
