Vigil for murdered teen
Nearly 500 people gathered in Frinton in Essex this evening to hold a vigil for 17-year-old Jay Whiston who was murdered in Colchester on Saturday evening. Jay had been at a house party in Marlow Way and was found stabbed in the heart.
Tonight his friends and family lit lanterns in his memory. They said they wanted to light up the sky for the popular teenager. Hundreds of lanterns floated out to sea watched by Jay's weeping family.
