Firefighters have gathered to pay respects to Alan Soards. The Suffolk firefighter died during a training exercise at the Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire.
Alan Soards's coffin has travelled on the back of a turntable ladder fire engine. The cortege was formed at Lowestoft South Fire Station. A Guard of Honour will be formed at St Andrew's Church in Gorleston-on-Sea.
His coffin will be carried by pallbearers from Alan's watch at Lowestoft South Fire Station and led by a piper through the Guard of Honour and into the church.
